A natural sanctuary for nesting seabirds.

Michaelmas Cay is a wonderful place to visit. The day that I visited, there would have been 50,000 birds or so and they were nesting. Looking closely on the left you can see some eggs and there were young chicks under their mothers wings. On this morning there was an easterly wind causing many of the birds to remain in flight and the birds squawking was almost deafening. This frame was the only one like it with a bird slowing to brake with its wings uplifted like an angel.
