Uluru set between two Desert Oak trees perfectly framed.

The Desert Oak trees are found abundantly within the Ayers Rock and Kings Canyon areas. They are a tree perfectly adapted to the desert regions and their roots go in search for the water table deep underground.

There where many fires burning when I photographed this scene, so there is something different in the light. I attempted to capture this view half a dozen time with each attempt ruined by smoke obscuring the sun. One time the fire caught quickly and smoke covered the whole view of the rock completely.
