Come on a journey with me, a pilgrimage of forty days …
Regardless of where you are in your walk with Jesus, there is something in this booklet that will deeply strengthen and encourage you. I am sure that your life in Christ Jesus will only be lifted up in a greater measure in the Holy Ghost and in the Purposes of the Gospel. Take your time with it, like any journey, there will be ups and downs, and some things you may not be able to accept right away or are presented in a vocabulary that perhaps you are not used to. But take your time; one day at a time, and set yourself to make it to the end.
This collection of writings is full of Scripture, for it is only the Word of God that brings both Life and Spirit. I appreciate thoughts and new ideas, but I personally can only stand firmly on them if they are richly supported by the Word of God. So, if you have the time, look up all the Scriptures for your own reference.
The Lord has wondrous plans for your life. If you only knew, even in part, you would fall to your knees with the deepest of tears. Therefore, take your time and allow the Spirit of God to minister and open your eyes in perhaps ways that you have never realised possible. For truly all of us see “through a glass dimly” (1 Cor. 13:12); take courage and let your eyes be opened further to that of which God has “prepared and keeps ready” for you (1 Cor. 2:9 AMPC). Be encouraged and set your heart anew unto our precious Lord and Saviour, Christ Jesus. Allowing the Spirit of God to “take you by your right hand” (Is. 41:13-19) and lead you on, deeper in this wonderful Salvation.
Then the LORD answered me and said: “write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.” (Hab. 2:1-4 NKJV)
The Lord has given me very precious words that I have attempted to ‘make plain’ for you, so that you ‘may run with it’. There is a favourite Scripture of mine in Deuteronomy 8:3 (Jesus refers to it when facing Satan in the wilderness) that goes like this, “man does not live by bread alone but every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” A similar Scripture in John speaks of how important it is to have the Word of God “abiding in you” (John 5:37-42) and not just in your mind, ie; the Living Word of God rising up within your soul. Rising up in the same way as does the Love of God.
When I came to realise how this Scripture is so relevant to us all today, my approach to the Father changed. My attitude in how I approach my Heavenly Father changed deeply. I began to seek His Presence manifest, that He might visit me, sit down with me, and share with me according to the heart of the Gospel message (John 14:21). And do you know what, He started to. Not only started but increasingly: in the middle of the night, during the day, or right in the midst of things; He visits. And when I choose to go aside, as Jesus always did, into a quiet place, the secret place; I find that I can initiate meetings with the Lord of Glory whenever I like. Now this is precious, this is truly valuable, this is a great treasure. Know then, that this is available for all who choose to love the Lord and follow Him with all their heart.
I pray that you are encouraged by the thoughts presented in this booklet, as much as I am in the writing of them. Truly something big will shift in you as you too start to reach out to meet with your Lord and Saviour, in deeper, more determined ways. The Lord is eager to meet with you, more than you could ever be eager to meet with Him. It is the Lord that knocks at your door, so be open to Him; and continually open to Him by inviting (seeking) Him to come in every day. There is a right way to go about it so humble yourself as a little child and seek your Heavenly Father anew each day. In this you will be continually greatly blessed, in Jesus Name. Amen.
Bless you …
