#79: Spirit of the Fear of the Lord
The Provocation of the Spirit

Seek the Presence of God and you will not seek to gratify sinful nature (Gal. 5:16, Rom. 8:1-16). Seek the Presence of God and it will be He who stabilises, anchors, and strengthens you. Simplify your life and seek the manifest Presence of God and you shall flourish as you abide in His Counsel. Honour not the problems before you – but the Presence of He who is with you – and it will be Jesus who lifts you up beyond yourself. Seek the Presence of God and doubt and unbelief fades away as they are replaced with the Knowledge of God. When I say Knowledge, I mean He will speak into you, He will build you up, and He will lift you so far beyond your earthly capacity.

Opening Scripture

He that dwells in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. (Psalm 91:1 NKJV)

To abide in the Secret Place one dwells under the Shadow of the Almighty; His Authority, Anointing, and Counsel. Here operating with Him where He is.

Man is of the clay but God sets you able to host and carry the Presence of God. Humble yourself and God will lift you up in Him, for as you seek the Presence of God you are shifted unto the Spirit. To elevate yourself only denies the Son, but to elevate Jesus it will be He who elevates you. When you honour the Lord, simply loving Him and seeking His Face, you honour and welcome His ministering Counsel. To honour the Presence of God is to honour His Goodness and Purposes being fulfilled in you, and here you shall flourish as the Planting of the Lord. Before there was only death and decay, but now truly Life has Seeded; Life in all its abundance (John 10:10).

Learn to look through the forest of opposition and ridicule unto the Tree of Life, setting your vision up High in Him, and so shall you be captured up in Him. It is Jesus who Teaches and Instructs – He is not dead but alive! – Jesus your living and ever-present Saviour. Therefore, like a little child lift your arms up in honour for your Lord, and with a praise-filled heart so shall you be picked up and carried along in Him. To what does it mean to ‘live according to the Spirit’, but to live a life carried by the Spirit (Rom. 8:5, 2 Pet. 1:21). Before, you were just a shell of your true intended Purpose and Destiny, a creature of the dirt and dust, but now in the Presence of the Lord your heritage is God Himself. Though you may be in a dry and barren place, today the Highway of the Lord is established between you and the Kingdom of Heaven (Is. 40:3).

Seeking the Presence of God is not weakness – it is empowerment. You have the Spirit, so come abide in the Secret Place and here you shall dwell in the Power of God.

The Presence of the Lord is needed sometimes just to be able to survive each day. It is needed even just to be able to look through the bleakness of situations that arise. It is needed even to revitalise your bones (Prov. 3:8) and set hope in your eyes. And it is the very same Presence of God that lifts you up out of the miry clay and sets your feet on most solid ground (Ps. 40:2). Establishing you in the Might and Strength of the Lord and implanting Visions and Dreams to see far and beyond; and making way for these very same Dreams fulfilled before your eyes. To honour the Lord draws Him, and to delight yourself in Him the very earth is commanded to yield its increase (Ps. 67:5-6). To honour the Lord and lift Him up, so too are you honoured and lifted up (Jam. 4:10)

The Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself does; and He will show Him greater works than these, that you may marvel. (John 5:28 NKJV)

The Gift to the heart of the willing, is that the Father shows you things that He Himself does, He shows even greater things so that all might marvel. So as you honour the ministering Presence of the Lord, He continually ‘testifies’ of His Goodness. He brings testimony to His own Word through great Wonders, and through the distribution of various Gifts given of the Holy Ghost (Heb. 2:4). He desires to work in such Mysteriously Wondrous ways that all may marvel, for that is His nature. It is His Works that cause the people to stop and marvel, provoking a heart changed and set upon Him.

Look therefore not to man, nor to situations or the vision of your own eyes, but look to Jesus and be raptured up in Him. Now from your Abiding Place, your Place of Origin, even from under the Shadow of the Almighty – when you speak, and as you walk, God is with you as you are with Him. Honouring the Spirit of the Lord to work, that is the Way of the Kingdom, and the Power of the Secret Place revealed.

You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life. (John 5:39-40 NKJV)

Many believe in the Name of Jesus, but few actively come to Him. Therefore, set your heart in Him and seek Him and you will have Life. It is right and good to search out the Scriptures and to learn about the Lord, but it is only in personally coming to Jesus that you shall live in experience of Life. Legalism and self-sufficiency creates a divide, but Love and Mercy unites. Seek not security through your knowledge or capacity, but in the Person of Jesus. Seek then the Lord Himself – in Person – for it is the Person of Jesus who shakes your knowledge, and provokes great shifts and change. To long for the Courts of God, even crying out for the Living God, your ‘heart and flesh crying out’ unto the Lord (Ps. 84:2); and here you are constantly lifted up.

To start: one is not called to carry the weight of the whole world, but to host and carry the Presence of God. Despite human capacity, we are all just earthen vessels – earthen vessels that are simply made of the dirt of the ground. Before God breathed life into Adam’s nostrils (Gen. 2:7), but today Jesus breathes upon you the Spirit of Life (John 20:22). So as you choose to come to God, you are simply coming under the continual outpouring of the Holy Ghost. And just like earthen vessels, you are picked up and set in such high Honour, and continually abide under the outpouring of the Spirit of God!

Problems and ridicule continually attempt to draw you under their control, under their grip and dominion – that is the way of the world. But to set your mind unto the Spirit (Rom. 8:5), seeking Him with a whole heart (Matt. 22:37) one comes under the Governance of God – that is the Way of the Spirit. Here one speaks over the problems and the ridicule (Is. 41:11-12), and now these things have to face the Authority of the Lord. For as you are in Him where He is, so the Father is in you where you are. Fear, depression, and hopelessness are fully replaced with the Love, the Counsel, and the Power of God.

I don’t share these things to speak of any goodness in me, but if anything to divulge my own weakness and need. I share these things for I greatly need and desire the Something that is greater than myself. Truly who am I but dust and dirt, made of the earth with the thinking of the earth. But now in Christ Jesus I am of somewhere else, even from Far and Beyond. So as I water this Seed and give honour to this Gift do they grow and flourish.

Allow yourself, therefore, to be renewed by the Lord; washed and cleansed through His Blood this very day – born anew in Him – born a New Creation. Be born again as though today as your first day. Carry not the residue of yesterday but be renewed in the Power of the Spirit. Allow the Lord to refresh you, meet you, and build you up in Him. Humble yourself before your Lord, and set your eyes upon Him, and step on through the open Door and be one captured up in Him. Stopping and being still, and coming to know your God (Ps. 46:10). And here in Him todayshall you be raised one who overcomes, even to live a life victorious and most powerful in Him. Before you were just of the dirt and dust, but today you are of the Spirit.

The believer has capacity to live their life as though not born of this earth at all, but just visiting from Above in Heaven. Living Far and Above in God, for this is your intended birthplace (John 17:16). For to such who realise and come to understand this are shifted in their soul unto their true sonship (Rom. 8:19).

But now bring me a harpist. While the harpist was playing, the hand of the LORD came on Elisha. (2 Kings 3:15)

If you want to abide in His Counsel, if you want the Spirit of Might resting upon your life, then learn to turn your heart unto the Lord. If you really want the Something that is greater than yourself, then as King David (the very lineage of the Kingdom of God) ‘enter through the Gates with thanksgiving, and enter right into the Courts of God through praise’ (Ps. 100:4). This Place is always here for you, and it is here that the Counsel and the Might comes. For as you wait upon the Lord, and delight yourself in Him (Ps. 37:4), honouring the Lord even greater than needs at hand, He will meet with you. Honour is a great great gift, even your very ability to give honoured place for the Lord. It is here in this lifestyle of heart, in this posturing of your soul before Him, whereby the Hand of the Lord comes upon you.

Continuing from the previous chapter …

Part 2. Isaiah 11:1-3

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. (Isaiah 11:1-3 NIV)

As believers, there are always two paths presented: the path in the likeness of prophet Samuel and then the path that is in the likeness of King Saul. Here we have it said of Samuel, “during the lifetime of Samuel the Hand of the Lord was against the Philistines” (1 Sam. 7:13). Then you have Saul, of whom it was said, “your kingdom will not endure; the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart” (1 Sam. 13:11-15). Two men of the same kingdom of God, one with the mindset of the dirt and the other of the mind of the Spirit. To delight in the Fear of the Lord is to retain one’s heart set and fixed as flint in Him – and as David says, ‘I know I will not be put to shame’ (Is. 50:7).

Scripture Romans 8: (what a very special chapter)

(v1-6) Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, (we) who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

(v9) You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.

(v12-16) Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. (Romans 8:1-16 NIV)

The Grace of God is the Grace of God, it is not the grace of man but the Grace of God. Therefore, one needs to come under the Grace of God. As one personally comes to Jesus and gives their life to follow Him, the Grace of God totally covers you far beyond measure and beyond compare. Something comes and replaces you, even the very motives of your soul – and that is the burning Love of God.

This same burning Love remains as you personally retain Him as your first love (Rev. 2:4). Setting it within yourself to seek the Lord fresh and anew each day. Coming to the Lord afresh as though dying – carrying nothing – but taking up your cross daily and being born again in Him. As newly-weds always new, always the New Creation – not old but New – fresh and alive in the Holy Spirit and washed white in the Blood. Jesus would say of the Pharisees, ‘these people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules’ (Matt. 15: 8-9). Therefore, I don’t care what I think, and I don’t aspire to what man thinks, but I set myself to aspire to the thinking of God.

I do not receive honor from men. But I know you, that you do not have the love of God in you. (John

It is the burning Love of God within that causes you to look up and go into the Beyond. And here be taken up in Him, far beyond your earthly capacity. It is the very same burning Love that strips away your desire to sin – it is most profound. Jesus replaces you, His Love does this. The things you struggled with for decades are no longer – such is the Power of His Love; the humbling of oneself in the Presence of the Lord. All the talks and programs dealing with issues of sin and brokenness are done away with when the Love of God comes upon you. Truly the one who is set free in the Lord, is free indeed (John 8:36), and to such go from strength to strength until appearing before God in Zion (Ps. 84:7).

To such are living in the Spirit of God and not in the spirit of self-sufficiency and self-reliance. Powered by the Spirit for that is the Something that was missing since the Fall. Drawing from the Eternal realms even materialising these things before your eyes – such is the wonder of a Worker of Miracles. This is the Gift of God spread abroad liberally for all that hold and carry the Love of God in them. The legalist and self-sufficient do not come here, for they do not understand it, and even remain hostile. But those who are ‘poor in spirit’, the broken and the lost, they are blessed for they seek and turn to the Lord.

Choose therefore not to resort back to the flesh, but otherwise choose to continually be built up and renewed in the Lord, and to be taken in Him. Seek not the honour or approval of man, but the Honour that comes from the only God, and His Approval resting upon you (Gal. 1:19). Being one raised and lifted up by Him and He alone. The Might of the Spirit, even the Spirit of Understanding and Counsel resting upon you.

But in saying this … how can I live under the Spirit of Might and Power, if I don’t live also under the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord? For it is the same God, it is the same Spirits that surround the Throne; and it is to this that Jesus Himself delighted in. So in the same way that it was of immense value to the Lord, it now is also of great value to me. So I, myself, choose to delight in the Fear of the Lord.

To elevate Jesus is to your great advantage, for simply through His Name He overshadows all things. It is so very very simple. To elevate Christ Jesus will you be taken in Him, but elevate other things so too will you be taken. This is the revealed benefit of the spiritual tools and principles expressed in Scripture. For in ‘magnifying the Lord’ (Ps. 34:3) and fixing your eyes upon the King, so too are you taken up in Him far beyond yourself. It is in Him that the Counsel of the Lord stands, for as the Spirits of the Lord surround Him – wherever Jesus is throned – so too does the Spirits of the Lord surround you also. For in elevating the Son you are throning Him in your life, therefore the Spirits of the Lord surround you as well. Simple!

Be no longer small in your thinking but gain the thinking of God.

When Jesus stepped ashore, he was met by a demon-possessed man from the town. For a long time this man had not worn clothes or lived in a house, but had lived in the tombs. When he saw Jesus, he cried out and fell at his feet, shouting at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg you, don’t torture me!” (Luke 8:27-28 NIV)

Just as Jesus when He stepped off the boat and His foot touched the ground, so too will the spiritual forces come to bow under the Authority and Presence of God in you. And this through the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord that is held dear. Satan seeks to dethrone you, he always does and always has. But as you don’t turn away, but peer through the ridicule and opposition unto the Face of God, so are you taken in Him. For Satan stands against you, but the Lord is with you. So as you throne Jesus, as you elevate Him before your eyes, even in the midst of difficulties, you are throning Him in your life. It is then Jesus that lifts you up in Him to be with Him where He is. And in the same way He is with you also where you are now; Heaven coming and resting upon your life. The Fruit of this is … Heaven being planted on earth.

But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. He asked, ‘How did you get in here without wedding clothes, friend?’ The man was speechless. (Matthew 22:11-12 NIV)

Through the Grace of God, the Spirit of the Lord liberates and empowers, throning you in the mysterious Wonders and Glory of the Kingdom of God. However, it is the demon spirits of Religion and Legalism that purpose themselves to keep you short or otherwise go beyond His Grace; for to some they feel they cannot approach God, but to others they only trample the Blood.

The Grace of God has given you undeniable and perfect access to the Father – that is its underlying purpose – and this regardless of the muck in your life. It is clear entry right into the Temple of God, now here in simple honour for Him; that you wait for Him. For it doesn’t matter how far down the barrel of rot you have been; if you truly submit your heart and life to God – He will lift you up! He will pick you up and fill you with Power and fill you with His Grace and Mercy.

Grace is like Water (or fine Wine) you turn and drink. It is like a waterfall to go stand under.

God loves you and saved you, and fully accepted you today – right as you are – this first and foremost. That is what the Grace of God means. He is about bringing you unto Himself, that is His Purpose and the nature of His Endearing Love. But participation with this Grace is in the turning – Grace is in the embrace. Grace is not a license to sin but the empowerment to win! Triumphant and as an overcomer and seated with Him in realms of great Power as a child of Light, as a child of the Living God. Seated with the King and adorned in such Honour and Glory in the Presence and in the Anointing of the Lord.

Though living in Him, united one in the Lord and even seated in such Honour, Grace, and Power. And just as Jesus, there is nothing good in us either, but God alone is Good.

The Grace of God is the ability to step into the fullness of God. It’s not to stay where you are, but to turn and give your life fully unto the Lord. It is not only gaining a knowledge about God, but stepping into Him. A seeking to come under His Authority and Rule and to be raised by Him; raised in the things of the Spirit and of the Kingdom of God. If the Spirit is a River learn to be one who steps further and deeper in. Yielding yourself further and further in Him and being raised up by our King in the things of Heaven. And though we were of the alleyways and byways, the least of the least, God desires to lift each one of us up in places of such honour and of such high standing in Him – celebrated in the Lord.

And here He calls you ‘friend’ for you do what He ‘commands’ (John 15:14), yearning to know the Heart of the Father. But one cannot participate with this process if one lives indifferent or prideful, even if given license to do so because of selected law; or holding a grace message that precludes you from truly coming to Him. For God is not law but Love, so to participate with Him is through love. Jesus refers to this as, ‘abide in my Love and I will abide in you (John 15:9). If you think you have experienced the Lord, brace yourself for ever increasing-encounters. Christ was crucified so that He might be alive and ever-present to anyone who believes.

Through the Grace gifted you by the Blood, each believer has entered into the Freedom of the Lord. The Love of God so valuing and treasuring your freedom. For what is love if it does not involve freedom? In your freedom you have perfect liberty: you have the liberty to draw close to the Lord or liberty to just stay at a distance. That is in the freedom of your own choice – but God’s Love remains. If you want the More in God, then use your freedom to step into Him, even into the More in Him. Your freedom is most powerful, for you are able to come and walk and participate in His Glory and the More that is in Him, or simply stay where you are – there is no condemnation (Rom. 8:1) – for His Affection and His Grace remains the same.

However, in your freedom trample not the Blood nor the Grace of Jesus …

How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace? (Hebrews 10:29 NIV)

Learning to value the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, will you be kept in Him, kept in alignment under His Authority and Grace. Jesus delighted in the Fear of the Lord, He desired to be here, He preferred to be here. He did not delight in the Spirit of Might nor the Spirit of Wisdom, but He delighted in the Fear of the Lord. In your gift of Prophecy, in your gift as a worker of Miracles, and in your gift of administrating the Kingdom of Heaven; without the bridle of the Fear of the Lord you are likely to fall off the Horse (Rev. 19:11-16).

The Spirit of the Fear of the Lord is like the saddle and the bridle that allows you to ride securely upon the Spirit of the Lord. Without any restraint one can end up being a lose canon, but the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord anchors and roots you securely in Him. It is one thing dealing with difficulties, but who are you when you truly enter success? When people honour you and draw close to you, even in the ‘press’ (Luke 19:3, Matt. 9:21) just to touch you that they might be healed … who, then, are you?

Like all men I am just a clay vessel, made of dirt, but it is in who I choose to position myself in that matters. Without delighting in the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, holding deep preference to abide in Him, preferring His Presence above all things; who then am I? As Jesus’ own opinion of Himself that ‘only God is Good’; truly we are just clay vessels, but vessels who are deeply Honoured to be able to host and carry the Presence of God. If you can learn these things then you are set upon a path of great Wonder. Coming under the Wings of the Lord Almighty; under His Authority and Grace and here being established in the Way, whereby you are entrusted with greater things (Luke 16:10, Matt. 13:12).

Therefore, seek to host and carry the Presence of God and you will not seek to gratify carnal thinking. With such a great Grace, and equally incomprehensible Spirit of God, comes also great responsibility. Such is the treasure of seeking the Presence of God … this in wealth or poverty, success or failure, in the knowing or not knowing; preferring to always delight in the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord.

It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age and who have fallen away, to be brought back to repentance. To their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace. (Hebrews 6:4-6 NIV)

To be in Christ Jesus but then turn back and live an unbridled life, a life irreverent and in indifference of Him, even embracing a life of sin; is to trample His Blood and the Spirit of Grace. How then can Christ be re-crucified for you? Eventually the spark goes out, the branch withers and dries, and is thrown into the fire (John 15:6). But if there is anything in you that would cause you to repent, even a desire to stop what you are doing – though not necessarily having the will-power to win – then the spark still remains. So today set your love unto the Lord turning afresh in Him and God WILL set you free!

It is the Endearing Love of God that continually desires to draw you near and closer in Him; even into all who He is and all that He has – the very inheritance of your sonship. However, in your freedom, if you do not sow then how will you ever reap? To the Spirit-filled what is wanted is the Spirit of God flourishing and outpouring in our lives today and evermore. Even in the knowledge that this same ‘flourishing’ echoes throughout all Eternity. So if you have been gifted the ‘Well’ of the Spirit, then turn and draw from Him, ie; seek the Presence of God and be captured in Him.

The Grace and Blood shed for you is so sacred to the Lord and it will not be trampled. There is the Love of God and then there is the love of man; but they are quite different. There is the Grace of God and then there is man’s opinion of God’s Grace; but these too are different. The Grace and Love of God so surpasses the grace and love of man. But in the same way, the grace and love of man is not purposed to ever supersede God’s Love nor His Grace.

I tell you something to fear: it is possible for Jesus (who was crucified for you) to ‘blot your name out from the Book of Life’ (Rev. 3:5). Let therefore, the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord abide in you, and here by the same Spirits shall He lift you up and secure you. And here, as one truly desires to come to Him, Jesus ‘announces your name before your Father and before His angels’. Another word for this is, ‘dwell under the Shadow of the Almighty’ and abide under His Anointing. Be careful then, not to treat the Salvation of the Lord as an ‘unholy thing’, nor the ‘Blood of the Covenant that sanctified you’.

The Grace of God is not a license to a loose lifestyle but is the Power of God to save.

Be not then one who tramples the Blood, nor despises the Grace of God. For with this great Grace, and equally immeasurable great Spirit of God, comes also great personal responsibility. For you are no longer a son of this world, but a son of God with an exceedingly great Eternal Inheritance; one even tasked to judge angels (1 Cor. 6:3). So if you choose not to humble yourself and come under the Blood and Tuition of the King … who, then, are you?

I tell you, become one who seeks the Lord and be captured up in Him, for there is no greater pursuit. To even know that this is possible totally overshadows your flesh. The spirits of Religion and Legalism place weights upon your shoulders that you cannot carry or bear (Matt. 23:4), they sapping the very Life out of you. If you cannot seek the Lord and live in continual experience of Him, then seasons can come of which really test your faith. But in experiencing the Lord it is His Faith that abides in you; and as we are called not to live by the flesh but by the Spirit, so you shall.

As you continue to honour the Spirit of the Lord, you open Doors of Wonders and Seeds of Glory to continually come upon you. This in measure far beyond measure. But it is only the Lord Himself that can show and reveal these things to you; hence the value in seeking the Presence of God. For to be one Spirit-filled is a Door of continual openings. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is not the arrival point, nor the finishing point; it is not the end, but the wonderful path of many beginnings. The many baptisms in the Love of God, being ‘dipped’ and ‘fully submersed’ in His Love and Fire.

Jesus delighted in the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord. He did not delight in the Spirit of Might, nor the Spirit of Wisdom that was upon His life, but He delighted in the Fear of the Lord. Much of the reason as to why we do not walk in the same Power of Anointing, as Jesus did, is that there is not the same honour for the Fear of the Lord that Jesus Himself delighted in. There is not a deeply held reverence for God, to come fully under His ‘Shadow’, but the many walk without boundaries, and subsequently therefore without Vision, Hope, Stability, nor the Might of the Holy Ghost.

When Jesus went to pray for the synagogue leader’s little girl who died, did He bring the Twelve Disciples with Him (Mark 5:37)? And when He went up into the Mountain of Transfiguration, did He bring all His followers, all who believed in His Name, and all who called Him ‘Lord’ (Matt. 7:21-23)? Surely it would have been wise and good for His ministry. Did He even bring all the Twelve or was it only just the Three (Matt. 17:1)? There is no favouritism in God, there is nothing that He gives one that He wouldn’t give another; but why didn’t He bring all His disciples?

The truth is, that the same door of opportunity is presented to each and every believer through the gifted Holy Spirit. But it is how you respond to the Person of Jesus is how also you will be led in Him. One can either remain under the spirits of Doubt and Unbelief or choose to come under the Spirit of Faith. For if your heart truly is in the Lord then you will be taken in Him, but if your heart is elsewhere then where are you? This is the mysterious wonder of treasuring the ministering Presence of God, for as His Love comes upon you, then here your ‘heart and flesh’ is only drawn in Him all the more (just as David).

The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him.” (John 6:29 NIV)

Treasures are treasures and they need to be treasured and sought for. And God likes to play hiding-go-seek, playing as like a little child who only likes to be found. So in God, if you don’t ask how will you be answered? If you don’t seek how will you find? And if you don’t knock how will the door ever be opened you? Law keeps you comfortable where you are, even a grace message indifferent, for in this you never really come to Him. But the Love of God retained burns in your heart for the More in Him. Such is the Power of thankfulness and praise, a heart that honestly turns to the Lord. For one who honestly turns and seeks the Lord the veil is fully removed (2 Cor. 3:16-18).

The Grace and Love of God is right there, but how do you participate with it, how do you live in real and most beneficial experience of it? Simple, one needs turn to the Lord. Indifference does not cause you to drink of the Goodness of God, but a heart that is fully given unto Him. Desire to no longer to live with just trinkets of what God has for you, but in the fullness thereof.

The Love of God is the greatest law that overshadows all law; both spiritual and physical. In this lifetime, this life that we live today, it is the only time that you can influence your eternal life. For throughout your Eternity you are stationed in what you have sown right here on this earth. Nothing can be changed in Eternity and the Life that you will lead – all is rooted in this present life. As Jesus would say, some will have one city and other ten (Luke 19:17).

However, this is just an earthly picture to assist your earthly thinking, but for all Eternity we will be delving into things far exceeding and far beyond human comprehension. What a blast! So if you build with worthless hay, then though you may yet be saved as if only just escaping the fire (1 Cor. 3:15), why would you wish to live your life like this? The grace message of man diminishes your vision, laced with law to enhance indifference – even a lukewarm approach; this ceasing you from truly delving into the More in Him. And here the Fire of God remains an elusive vision and ideal, and the love for God goes cold (Rev. 3:16).

One benefits from the Love and Grace of God only as one drinks from them. Indifference and disregard keeps an unwanted rift or distance between you and the Father, and this despite one’s own confession. The sweet and wonderful gift afforded you by the Cross is that the moment that you turn to the Lord, the King of Glory comes and sits down here right before you. You, an ordinary person triggers the very Lord of Glory to come and sit in your midst, right where you are, and this the moment that you turn to Him. This even right in the muck that you are sitting in right now. He will never forsake you nor leave you – such is the powerful work of the Cross.

Come abide in the Secret Place, and here you shall abide and function under the Shadow of the Almighty.

If you do not turn to the Lord, how will you participate with His Goodness? How will you ever truly benefit from the work of the Cross or that of the Spirit? And how will you ever enter into and participate in the continual More that is continually and abundantly in Him? And how will you ever know what that even means? Hence the power of seeking the Face of God, in and out of season, is of such exceedingly great value to you … even the very Fear of the Lord.

Closing Scripture:

God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. (Acts 10:38 NIV)

Understand that there are two things: the Holy Spirit, and then the Power of the Spirit. So as you truly submit and give your life to God, it will be He who lifts you up in Power – even as you abide in the ‘Secret Place’ (Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49). As you truly dwell in the Shadow of the Almighty, so too will you also go around doing good and healing all who are under the power of the devil. And why? Because God is with you! And whole regions and nations will be saved through the witness and testimony of the Power of the Spirit.

Bless you …

Pray this prayer with me. ‘Lord, I recognise that your purpose is to raise and lift me beyond myself. Lord even unto the far Beyond. Lord I humble and avail myself to this process. Lord I repent of my failures and acknowledge that I am not capable of myself. Lord I desire your Dreams fulfilled in me and resign and rest myself fully in the Lord. In Jesus Name, amen.‘
