Day #64: Rending the Heavens
“A Message of Salvation”
Most believers see Heaven only as a place that can be entered into upon death, and most see Life and Immortality only being able to be experienced when this life is over. This depleted vision is impressed upon mankind, but it’s not Jesus’s vision nor His Heart. Many see the Salvation given of the Lord only as a ticket out of here, being only experienced and walked in when one physically dies and goes into Heaven. But realise this, Salvation isn’t like a ceiling, but it is the firm stepping over into Life, and now today this Salvation has become your floor.
Now that Salvation is your floor, you have crossed over into Life and Immortality here and today. Let your vision ever be increased. You have the Kingdom of Heaven now laid before you to enter into and participate to the measure of your own heart’s desire. The Kingdom of Heaven is within you, and God has made you a creature with Eternity in your own heart. To this, now, you have inherent and unfathomable access into the Eternal realms of Heaven and this according to the measure of your own heart’s desire. Your heart is the gateway, the portal, and the access point. Your heart’s desire is key, and God will fulfil the dreams and desires according to that of your own heart (Ps. 37:4).
Truth is, Salvation is not just a ticket into Heaven, but Salvation starts this very moment; and gains you unfettered access to the Kingdom of Heaven real and alive in your world today. But how do we participate more in Heaven, and how can we live in constant interaction with Heaven and the angels of God here and today? Simple: one needs to die.
In rightly responding to the Gospel of Peace and dying to this life, you are actually participating in Christ’s death. Jesus was crucified so that you as a believer can skip over death and enter into the realms of Life and Immortality that are beyond comprehension (2 Tim. 2:10, Mark 16:17-18). This is the Way. Believing is not enough, but coming to hand your life fully over unto the Lord that is what is required; in order to enter into and function in the Heavenly realms here and today.
What is a most common theme of the Gospels, and one that is most commonly overlooked? “If you cling to your life, you will lose it, but if you let your life go (in me), you will find it” (Luke 17:33). This is part of the great value in laying your life fully down; all its issues and it’s cares on the Alter of the Lord, and coming to seek the Presence of God in the Holy Place. Our flesh is so incapable for only in the Spirit is there Life; this is our daily expressed hunger. The underlying theme of this publication is “Love the Lord God with all your being”, “laying down ALL cares and considerations”, and in all things and through all thing “seeking the Presence of Heaven” … and why? Because these things are all intricately entwined and together most valuable in moving forward in the Kingdom’s Might.
It is fine that you are not perfect, as yet, in the art of laying your life down in death. This is not the point. But the key is coming to realise that the more that you are able to lay your life down, releasing your life in Christ Jesus: the more that you are able to enter into and participate in the Kingdom come. Not only so, but the very real issues and cares of this earthly life seem to come into alignment as though the Father, Himself, has stepped into them (Matt. 6:33).
In all things and through all things I gladly lay down all cares and considerations. I gladly choose to abase and absolve myself of them all, and enter fully into the Rest that I am called (Heb. 4:3). This one care I firmly retain, this ‘first love’ (Rev. 2:4), to the fulfilment of all of which God has established … and here enter fully in. I choose to retain this one care and consideration and enter into and abide in the fullness of ALL that Christ has achieved. In this I gladly lay my life down, I gladly enter into death, that I may truly be established and raised in Life.
But whatever were gains to me I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ — the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith. I want to know Christ — yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead. Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. (Philippians 3:7-12 NIV)
If we want Life and the Kingdom of Heaven to be free to come into our world, we are the ones who can go bring it, it is accessible within us. And the capacity for the ‘More’ that is in God is abundantly available for all who might believe. But death is key. What is the Gospel message, “deny yourself and take up your cross and follow me” (Luke 9:23, Matt. 16:24, John 10:17, Rom. 6:5, Gal. 2:19-21, Luke 9:62). There is so much Life in this, and it opens you to the vastness of which is in God. And if you truly want to bring the Kingdom of Heaven into your world of needs, if you truly want to live in open interaction with Heaven and the angels of God assigned … then die. Cares and desires have a nature about them (regardless of how noble); they leave your heart tied to the confines and economy of this world, and the limited capacity of your own flesh; and tie the Hands of Jesus by the constraints of your own doubt and unbelief. But once you truly realise the power of loving the Lord God with all of your heart; giving your loves fully unto Him; it is the Lord that is given full rights to bring Life in all its facets to your door.
The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. (John 3:8 NIV)
How do you enter Heaven as you still live and breathe in this life? How can you interact with your ministering angels and the Saints of Old as you still live here on earth? How can one rise above and operate in the Power of God? How do you walk where the Spirit of God walks and moves? How do you float up into Heaven and live and abide here? How do you enter into Life and Immortality here and today? How do you become one like the Wind? How do you enter into the effervescent joys of Eternal Life here and now? How do you enter the Place of Rest as called? And how do you enter the realms of Power, of Glory, of Might, and of Heavenly Understanding? The answer is in death; the laying down of your life … only to pick it up again in the Resurrection Power of the Son.
The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life — only to take it up again. (John 10:17 NIV)
If we have been united with him like this in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection. (Romans 6:5 NIV)
However, if you only waited until you physically died in order to enter Heaven, how would Heaven ever come to this world of needs? Who is it then that can bring these things of Heaven to earth? Only those who die in Christ, in all things and through all things, each and every day. Only those who carry nothing but the Glory of God. Jesus’ yolk is purposed to be easy and His burden is purposed to be light (Matt. 11:30). In coming to participate in Christ’s death, what you find is that you are actually stepping into where He went and where He abides today. And now you “know the way” (John 14:4), and to this you bridge the Kingdom of Heaven unto this world … this while you still live and breathe on earth.
Avoid pursuing God religiously, and stay clear of being coaxed into trying to do the Spirit’s work in your flesh. One is not called to function in the confines of one’s own strength and understanding … but of the Spirit’s.
Understand that the surrendering of your life unto the Lord of Glory, is participating in His death. Your daily laying down the very real issues, desires, cares, and fears that you face in this life, into the Hands of Jesus, is participating in His death. Your leaving your life, and not looking back (Luke 9:62) but pressing into Jesus is participating in His death. In ‘taking up your cross daily’ (Matt. 16:24) is participating in His death. In releasing your grip upon your life is participating in His death (Matt. 10:39). If you truly wish to participate in Life and Immortality, and operate from these powerful realms of Heaven, living full of the Spirit and Power of God, and interacting richly with the members and the provisions of Heaven – as your daily norm – then lay down your life, abandon it in death, and enter into Life. Here, now, never leaving but abiding and having your being.
Eternal Life can only be entered into, and participated richly in, through death. Now you can personally step into Heaven, into Life and Immortality, and live here and have your breath.
There are the Gifts of God expressed in the book of Corinthians, but then there are the Spirits of God. We are taught to pursue the Gifts of the Spirit, but what has also been set apart are the Spirits of God. The Spirits of Might, of Knowledge, of Understanding, and of Counsel … and here live and operate in them in your day to day life. There are the Gifts, but then there are the Spirits. A man can be given of the Gifts and they remain irrespective of the man, but the Spirits of God are given only through intimacy of relationship; through integrity, trustworthiness, and holiness. And without holiness no one will see the Father (Heb. 12:14).
A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord — and he will delight in the fear of the Lord. He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes, or decide by what he hears with his ears. (Isaiah 11:1-3 NIV)
Three points to raise here:
- Jesus did not live by what He saw or what He heard.
- He operated by these seven Spirits.
- Through death, you and I are born in the same and are able to walk in the fullness of them.
The believer has endless, endless capacity to move deeper into the realms of the Spirit. Deeper into the realms of the Kingdom of Heaven, and this through the legal transaction of the Blood. By this transaction, one has gained full rights of Life and by stepping through this life one is able to abide and participate fully in the Life that has come. In abiding in the Presence of Jesus and operating from this Place, one transcends time and space. You transcend the physical restrictions and limitations of this world, and death no longer has hold over you. Death and all its various fruits are made null and void, and Life has come fully in its place.
The key, however, is in this realisation that the shed Blood has called you to step into Life here and today. Though it is good to live with expectation of the Salvation to come, but the purpose of the Kingdom is to step into this Salvation, yourself, right here and now. Be not depleted and be not deprived. There is great value in the Law for it has given you firm and solid rights. But this Law is purposed to be a stepping point, an access point, for you to move clearly forward. It is not a containment point. For we are called to abide in the Grace, Spirit, and Love of God … not in the Law of God.
Just as Salvation, or the prospects of Eternal Life, were once as a ceiling to you; the Law of Grace has made it your floor. The rights given you by the Blood has opened unto you unlimited possibilities of growth and potential in God. This is what God has fashioned the potential within the soul of man, the capacity of unceasing growth throughout all Eternity. As Eternity is in you, so too are infinite Possibilities (1 Cor. 2:9, 1 John 3:2). God has made you a New Creation, and this as a New Created being with unlimited ability to transform and grow. Jesus, Himself, is beyond measure and He has called you into His own full Likeness and Image. This capacity is given as you enter into and live your Eternal Life here and today on earth. If one fails to step through into the Love of God and abide here, then the same Law that pointed to Christ will keep you squashed and contained in the confines and limited vision of the ‘ceiling’ space. The answer is Love and Faith.
Care not but for the Presence of the Lord, care not but for the manifest Life of God alive in you.
The purpose of the Law is in the rights that it has given you, and for you to stand on these rights yourself and from here enter deeper into the Grace and Love of God. Living and operating here in Grace and Love, and no longer under Law and Works. For it does not matter so much what you do for God, but what matters is what God desires to do for you and through you (Luke 12:37). For our walk is not of the strength of our own might and understanding, but the Strength and Might of the Spirit (Zech. 4:6). So what is more important is the decisive step to go deeper and deeper into the Salvation, the Life, and the Vision of God. And as you come to give your life more complete in Him, as you truly come to die, it is in this place that you truly are able to abide in the Rest and Repose as called; and participate in the Power of this Place (Is. 28:12).
Law and Works will have you contained in the thinness of the cavity of the ceiling space. And here you may not even be able to stand tall at all. But the Lord has called you to step out upon the roof and look out into the More that is in Him. Salvation isn’t the target and Eternal Life isn’t the vision, it is the basis … it is the standing place. It is the Holy Place as pictured in Solomon’s Temple, and what this Place entails, where it leads you and what it avails. It is the More that is in God that is of value. And in abiding here, it is to the More that you can lead the multitudes into, even into the vast realms of Salvation and Eternal Life.
What is better? Striving hard in your flesh to introduce people to a reduced vision of the Salvation Message. Or entering into the richness of His Salvation yourself today, experiencing and living in it as Jesus, and for all the wonder of it to manifest before the very eyes of all? I tell you, this will flow across the nations of the world like a fire! And it is to this Dream that the Father sent His Son … that you and I live and move in the Holy Spirit’s Fire. Let us all come to step upon the rights of Life that is fully ours today and in this place allow the Lord to lead each one of us deeper into the Spirit and into the Spirit’s Fire.
And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. (Revelation 5:6 NKJV)
You have the capacity to interact and move in the seven Spirit’s of God, for they have been sent. As one comes to die and live in active experience of the Light of Life, you gain greater capacity also to step into these seven Spirits. Even to walk as Jesus: with the Spirits of Knowledge, Understanding, Counsel, and Wisdom. And the Spirits of the Lord, of Might, and of Fear. This is the Way of the believer.
Here you are, though in appearance as like a mere man, just like Jesus appeared, but you are able to wield the Resurrected Power of God like a sword upon will. Therefore, come to understand the value of entering into the Secret Place. We are called to walk as Jesus, speak as Jesus, and do as Jesus … therefore one needs be rooted just the same as He.
A depleted Gospel message denies the Son, and causes Jesus, Himself, to shy away. But the full Gospel message spoken causes the angels to alight with joy and hang around listening to the words spoken from your mouth. Even the Son, the Holy Spirit, and the Father stepping down in Delight upon the congregation. The Gospel of Truth prepares the way for the Kingdom come, and the Spirit ushers in the entourage of Heaven.
And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:17-18 NKJV)
Here is a picture of Life and Immortality; one born and of whom abides in the Eternal realms of God. There is no condemnation that you don’t see these things active in your life as yet, this isn’t the point. What it is about is coming to seek the Lord and entering into greater alignment in Him, and thereby enjoying Heaven and it’s rich fruits all the more. “Seek first the Kingdom of Heaven …!”
Pray this prayer with me. ‘Thank you Lord for this increased vision and understanding. Lord I step more decisively in this, this very day. Thank you Lord that through awareness and belief I am given greater ability to step into the New, that is in you, all the more. Lord, please continue to raise me in you, even in the fullness as called. This I pray in Jesus’ precious Name. Amen’.
