Day #58: Priests and Kings
“Everlasting Life”

… in continuation of the previous chapter.

Come learn to care not but for the Presence of the Lord; for Anointing, Everlasting Life, and Counsel is found in Him. The Lord seeks to Anoint His people; to carry the load for you, and to ride upon your words bringing Everlasting Life. The invitation to sit at the Father’s right hand, on the Throne with Jesus, has been extended you. Choose then, to care not but for the manifest Presence of the Lord, for He thwarts every plan of the Enemy, even aggressively going on the offensive against him. In all things and through all things seek first the Kingdom of God come, even before your imminent needs (Matt. 6:33). Choose this day to make firm place for His Will being done here in your life, just as it is in Heaven, and so it shall (Matt. 6:9-13). In the Presence of the Lord Hope is found when there is none, Love is found when none can be seen, and a Faith is found that shakes the foundations of the earth.

I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. And I know that His command is Everlasting Life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak. (John 12:49-50 NKJV)

One abiding in Everlasting Life can speak Everlasting Life. One who abides in the Presence of God can speak and release the Presence of God. One who abides in the Living Word speaks and releases the Living Word of God. One who abides under the Anointing of the Lord speaks with an Anointing and releases an Anointing, and it is the Anointing that breaks the yolk. As you respond to the invitation and sit on the Throne with the King of Glory, the Father causes you to ‘rule in the midst of your Enemies’ (Ps. 110:1-2). Come set yourself firmly to seek the Presence of God, and it is the Presence of God that comes and remains. As you set yourself to seek first the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of God comes. The Words of Everlasting Life, that abide within you, is what releases Everlasting Life from you. These words themselves break the demon’s stronghold over people’s lives, and they that were blind and deaf to the Light of God, now see and hear for the obstruction has been removed.

Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you. (John 6:27 NKJV)

There is the written Word, yes, but what is to be sought for is the Living Word that ‘the Son of Man gives you’. Focus the inner purpose of your soul not in the temporal rewards or issues of this life, but that of which endures forever; the Eternal things of Heaven alive and functioning here and now in this temporal world. Learn to look through all things and set your heart upon the Food that endures, ‘labouring’ for the Food that endures to Everlasting Life. Seek daily the Presence of the Lord, and it will be the Lord of whom raises you up into His very own Presence.

It is He who builds you up in the Hidden and Secret Places of the Father. Here He gives you Food of which endures to Everlasting Life; even the rich sense of Life abiding in you. It is the Father Himself that speaks Words that produce Everlasting Life within you, for His ‘command’ is Everlasting Life. In this, your own words become Anointed, and your mouth overflows the Words of Everlasting Life that groans, stirs, and bubbles up from within.

As your soul prospers so does your flesh. As your soul prospers, so are the scars of your soul and flesh healed. The ancestral scars, the scars of the sins done against you, and the scars caused by your own sins; all is healed in the Presence of the Lord, as the Lasting Fruits of the Joy and Confidence of the Lord come rest upon you. As your soul prospers so does your flesh, and a prosperous soul brings Everlasting Life to the World around you. However, seek first the Presence of God and His abiding Witness will minister continuously into your soul.

You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce Lasting Fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name. (John 15:16 NLT)

As your spirit, soul, and thought-life abide in the Eternal realms of the Father, His Everlasting Life giving Words will burn in your soul affecting all that you feel, think, do, and say. In this, you become one abundant in the Fruits of God, and His ever present Gifts ready for the needs that are in front of you. And as you find yourself walking in step and according to the Spirit, the Spirit of God places a burning in your soul for both the written Word and for the Words that proceeds from the Father’s mouth. This burning in your soul, and longing to align yourself unto Him (1 Peter 1:16), causes you to become a candidate for the Fire of the Holy Spirit. For as your heart burns for the Living God, even becoming as hot coals, you are kindled and prepared for the baptism of the Holy Spirit’s Fire (Luke 12:49).

The manifest Presence of the Lord that abides in you; the active, moving, and dynamic Presence of God, sows His Everlasting Life giving Word in your soul. His own Abiding Presence within you bears abundantly the Fruits of the Spirit; even the Lasting Fruits of Faith, of Hope and Love. The Eternal Counsel, Understanding, Knowledge, and Might of God stir firmly in your soul and out of your mouth speaks the Eternal and Everlasting words of Life and Spirit, as the Spirit Himself rides on them (John 6:63). And upon your life, the Fear of God will rest, and you will delight in the Fear of the Lord, just as He who went before you (Is. 11).

One rooted in the Spirit lives outside the accusation and the condemnation of Satan or man (1 Cor. 4:3, 1 Cor. 2:9-10 AMPC, Rom. 8:1 KJV), for the word that is spoken is from the Heart of the Father. As your flesh walks this earth, your spirit and soul walk the Heavenly realms. You bridge and abide in two worlds simultaneously, with Heaven being more real to you than this temporal earthly world. As the Lord speaks, as the Lord gives you of the Bread of Life, there are deep shifts in the awareness of your soul that your mind can take days, weeks, and even years to catch up. The continual meditation of your soul ponders to make ‘flesh’ the realities of the Faith of Jesus stirring within you. The Eternal abiding Witness of the Holy Spirit that continually speaks His own language within, being one taught by the Father and continually coming personally to Jesus yourself (John 6:44-45).

Hunger for the Lord your God, and hunger for the ‘More’ that is always found in Him. Heaven is full of the Provisions and Promises of God, and there are vast rooms that you can go in to get all that you need and want. Here, in the Abiding Place of the Lord, the Spirit shows you how to access the Rich Stores of Heaven. Therefore, through praise and the deep honour of soul, through prayer and fasting, and in meditation of both the written and revealed Word of God; retain a continual hunger for the Lord your God. In this, He truly has you recline, and He, Himself, ministers into you (Luke 12:37) from the Eternal realms of the Kingdom of God.

Elisha then picked up Elijah’s cloak that had fallen from him and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. “Where now is the Lord, the God of Elijah?” he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over. (2 Kings 2:13-14)

All the Greats of Old, of whom went before you, have now given you full and clear precedence to walk in the same as they. Each one of them are a picture for you here and today, and their capacity of great deeds and of power are now yours … if you believe (Matt. 11:11, Mark 11:23, John 15:16, John 14:12, 2 Cor. 1:20). It is the Counsel of the Lord, the Word that proceeds from the mouth of Jesus, that gives you the right and capacity to do what the Word clearly expresses. For the Counsel comes as a shield; to guard against the birds that steal, the hardness of heart, and the weeds that choke (Matt. 13:18-23).

Jesus is the Word made flesh (John 1:14), and as He who is Resurected abides in you, He makes the Word, which is He Himself, to be made ‘flesh’ in you. The Resurrected Christ Jesus abides in you, speaks in you, and comes from you. That means, as the Resurected Power of the Son abides in you, He makes real and manifest His Resurrection Power and Life in you. And as you speak, you do just what the Father is boiling within you to do; making way for the Everlasting Life of the Spirit to be outpoured.

All Christians have the same opportunity, but not all participate in the same. Picture again the Temple of God; as a believer, you have access to the four areas in this model presented in Solomon’s day. Most Christians only participate in the Lord via the Outer or the Inner Courts, without realising that there is more. The Purpose of the Cross, and what the Blood has achieved for you, is the opportunity for you to truly be able to enter freely into the Holy Place (if not abide). The Holy Place of which is the Equipping zone, the Anointing zone, and the Transformation zone. Not only so, but be led into the Holy of Holies, of which is the Hidden and Secret Place of the Lord. Here the Concealed is revealed, and the Teachings of Heaven flow effortlessly like a River upon you (John 3:12, Rev. 22:1).

Priestly and Kingly Christ

Satan would have you think of Jesus as only the sacrificial Lamb, whilst at the same time sidestepping the fact that He is the Resurrected King and Judge; and Absolute Ruling Authority.

Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth; You shall thresh the mountains and beat them small, And make the hills like chaff. You shall winnow them, the wind shall carry them away, And the whirlwind shall scatter them; You shall rejoice in the Lord, And glory in the Holy One of Israel. (Isaiah 41:15-16 NKJV)

The Holy One of Israel, the Lord your God, is intent on making something of you; even a new threshing instrument … with sharp teeth! The Anointed word you speak from your mouth bringing great change. The Lord making your prayers, the words of your mouth, and the deeds of your hands; most powerful and effectual. The wind will scatter away the infirmity, the whirlwind laying waste the strongholds of the Enemy, and you shall glory in the Holy One of Israel. In this, as you see the Hand of God moved in answer to your words … your joy will be complete (John 16:24).

Now in the morning, as He returned to the city, He was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, “Let no fruit grow on you ever again.” Immediately the fig tree withered away. (Matthew 21:18-19 NKJV)

There are many facets in the Person of Jesus, and the Word of God, and in this subject of Jesus ‘cursing’ the fig tree it is the same. But in the picture of Christ Jesus being both Priest and King, it has a very specific message. Be aware that the earlier part of the ministry of Jesus was ‘Priestly’, but after Jesus came riding on a donkey into Jerusalem, He officially came as King (John 12:14-15). From here He starts speaking of what is going to happen, “the hour has come that the Son of Man should be glorified” (vs 23). The Priestly office preparing the way for the Kingly office.

The Apostles, until that point, were operating only under the Gifts, as they proclaimed the Kingdom come. But His intent and purpose was to lead them to be able to sit on the Throne with Him. Now in the picture of the Fig Tree, Jesus goes on to say, “if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ it will be done” (Matt. 21:21-22). That is, if you believe, you can say to the mountains of opposition, the strongholds of evil, the drivers of corruption and destruction: “be thou cast into the sea” and it will be done for you … if you believe.

Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth. (Revelation 5:9-10 KJV)

There are the two avenues for the believer under Christ Jesus, the first and primary is to priestly. That is in the Love of God; interceding, encouraging, and in forbearance teaching and admonishing. The other avenue comes as kingly. That is in the Love of God; guarding, protecting, making judgement, and going on the offensive. This Scripture rounds off what the Gospel of Peace openly expresses and has purposed for you in Christ Jesus. That in Christ Jesus you can live and have your being as both priest and king, under the Great Priest and King. Not of yourselves, but given you of the Lord. Be aware, operating as a king draws attention to yourself, if you operate out of your own fleshly lust and pride you will fall. But if in the Spirit, a two-edged Sword will come from your mouth (Rev. 1:16).

Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, to execute vengeance. (Psalms 149:5-6 NKJV)

There is a Song given us of the Lord that comes upon you that the angels themselves ride on. There are the High Praises of the Lord that rise up within you, that the Spirit of God rides on. This is given in the abiding Presence of God. It is this Praise within you that comes as groans from the Eternal realms. This Song, this Praise, is the Word of the Spirit of God that the Spirit and Power of God moves and travels on. We express in praise, but what we seek is the Eternal High Praise of the Lord abiding within.

In the Praise of the Lord a Sword is placed in your hand, even the two-edged Sword of the Word of God that comes from your mouth. To bring about the vengeance of the Lord against the demon kings, the principalities, and the governing spirits of the demonic realms. To bring them to a firm end, and make way for the salvation, the healing, and the restoration of the Son. Just as your soul prospers so shall your flesh, just as your soul prospers so shall the words upon your lips bring forth the Anointing of the Lord.

Praise of heart dethrones you in your own flesh and in your own eyes, praise dethrones Satan and his schemes, and praise elevates the King before all. Praise is the language of Heaven and therefore Heaven comes and rests upon your life – that is the Song given you of the Lord. As you abide in praise the angels of the Lord praise alongside you, and the Spirit of God comes and with a Praise from the Eternal realms of Heaven, with groans so deep that words struggle to express.

It is from within the Abiding Place of the Lord that Jesus, as King, comes upon your life. As you come under the King, you yourself are a king; reigning with Him on His Throne. Therefore, the words that come from your mouth are Anointed of God. And as you hold your ground, as you stand (Eph. 6:13), the Enemy is defeated by the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. You will be able to prophesy over the dead man and speak life back into them and they will get up (Ez. 37:1-14). You will speak to those bound by infirmity and they will be released (John 5:1-15, Luke 13:10-16). And you will speak to the blind and the deaf and they will hear the Voice of the Lord and the veil shall be removed and they will enter the Salvation of the Lord.

In reigning with Jesus, we bow to no other reality. Satan would have you bow to him, bow to fear, bow to his control; but the Anointing upon your life breaks every yolk. The Authority and Dominion has been given you, the believer, through the work of the Cross; therefore be sanctified in the Presence of the Lord, and by both the Word and the Spirit you shall rise up totally Triumphant, in Jesus Name.

In conclusion:
This is within your hands, the opportunity has been presented you; the Lord invites you this very day, to come “sit at My right hand”. This is your choice, this is your step. The opportunity to enter the Powerful Rest of the Lord is your choice. Come sit down on the Throne with Jesus … and here “I will make your enemies your footstool.” The LORD shall send the rod of your strength out of Zion. Rule in the midst of Your enemies! (Ps. 110:1-2).

Pray this prayer with me. ‘Thank you Lord, that by choice and by rights I can step on through all cares, all realities of this life, and praise your Holy Name. Even in the midst of the accusations and the foul impressions of the Enemy and I can choose to delight and seek your Presence. Blessed be the Name of the Lord. I hereby choose to remain and abide here on your Throne, rather than to be dragged off by every scheme of the Enemy. It is the greatest honour and privilege; that Heaven can come in, on, and through each one of us as per your vision and Dream. Bless you in Jesus Name’.
