Day #35: Seek Heaven
“The Peace of God Rules my Heart!”
Of my flesh I have no answer, but the Spirit is the Answer! Of myself I have no answer for the issues of life that we face, I have no answer for the evil that is rampant in the world. I don’t have the answer for the world and all its problems, the sickness, the death, or the salvation of mankind. I don’t have an answer even for the mistakes I have made, or the future that is before me. But in the Presence of God, of whom I choose to delight and seek anew each day, the Holy Spirit has all the answers!
I choose then, to be anxious for nothing but ‘anxiously’ seek the deepest of sensitivity and the deepest of awareness in the Holy Ghost. Even to the measure that Jesus Himself lived and walked in, and of which He taught, and of which the Spirit leads. All issues of life I lay at the feet of the Lord, that He may truly be Lord; I release all to the care of the Lord that His Goodness may manifest abundantly upon my life. I do not have the answer, but Jesus is the Answer. The Holy Ghost and the Presence of the Lord God is the Answer, therefore, I dearly wish to draw Him close and close I shall be drawn.
I am learning to care not but for the Love of God and for Him to Work through my life. That His Love may break forth and His Hand moved by that of a little child. Thank you, Lord, for the delight that I can praise your Name and live in continual experience of the wonder of Heaven. I choose not to care but for the goodness of God; for of my flesh I can do no-thing, it is the Spirit of God that is the Answer.
Faith and Rest are synonymous: choose then to live free of cares, for faith retains an attitude of absolute trust. Choosing then to live free of anxiety, free of fear, free of worry is to enter into an attitude of complete Rest; resting in the finished work of the Cross. Resting in the reality that God is at work on your behalf, and that you have a Friend in Heaven who is with you and is fighting for your cause.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Gal. 5:1)
Retain a heart that is free of cares for a free spirit in the Lord makes way for a deepening sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. It is a soul fully free and fully yielded unto the Lord of whom builds an acute awareness of the Spirit of God. A soul that remains free of cares ‘attracts’ the Holy Spirit, and remaining free of cares draws the Father dearly close; allowing for a greater awareness of His manifest Presence and His Hand upon your life. To choose to live free in spirit this speaks of your love, your hope, your confidence, and your trust in the Lord. It is in this ‘Secret Place’, this ‘Cleft of the Rock’, that your eyes are opened to the Heart of the Father, and of the vast possibilities of Heaven. Retaining a freedom of spirit opens your ears to the Counsel and your heart to the Witness of the Holy Spirit upon your life.
Therefore, I personally choose to care not but for the deepest sensitivity to the Spirit of God that is available in Christ Jesus. For in the Presence of God is the Love of God, the Counsel, and His Might. So I choose to become as a little child and place my cares in Him, fully unto the Lord, for He continually comes to me in the middle of the night and He meets with me during my day. He wakes me at night and stirs me through the day, He counsels me for I choose to keep watch and my ear remains attentive to Him (Sam. 3); just as a little child for his Papa to come home. He shares with me deep mysteries and confides Himself in me, opening my eyes unto Heaven (Ps. 25:14-15). He prepares my feet where they should walk, He inspires me in my work. He gives me visions and dreams (Acts 2:17), ministering deeply into my soul and my flesh, anointing my mouth to speak and my hands to heal (Mark 3:14).
If you deeply desire to have great faith then you need to come to know that you have a Great God.
Faith does not originate in you, we are not its source. The Source of Faith is in He who is both the “Beginning” and the “End.” Cherish, therefore, the Freedom that is available in Christ Jesus, “stand firm and do not allow yourself to be burdened again under a yolk of slavery”, for it is “for freedom that Christ has set you free!” In making the decisive choice to remain free in soul is to gain a greater awareness of the Spirit of God and tenderness to His ministering Grace. To live free in spirit is to live in deep communion with the Lord, in continual flow of spirit to Spirit communion between you and the Father.
In this Secret Place, the Spirit can come upon you rising up overwhelming you in the deepest of Praise, in deep deep groans in your spirit unto the Lord (Rom. 8:26-27). Jesus can come and stand in your midst and you find yourself no longer being able to stand but fall to your knees in His Presence (Rom. 14:11). A gifting, an impartation occurs in this Place and His Love comes as the “radiance of His Glory”. This is not of your flesh but is of the Spirit in whom you can choose to abide at ease; free in soul. If you allow Him, He can raise you and instruct your soul in the right Way. Choose then, to set a watch for Him at night and during the day, keeping an ear to Him even during the night and gladly getting up and responding. Regardless of what might wake you, turn your heart to delight in the Lord of Glory and wait to hear His Voice. For nothing is of more value (Matt. 13:44) than the Spirit sharpening, forming you, and raising you day by day, for this is the Way of the Kingdom for all who love the Lord.
I will stand my watch and set myself on the rampart, and watch to see what He will say to me, and what I will answer when I am corrected. Then the LORD answered me and said: “write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it … “Behold … the just shall live by his faith.” (Hab. 2:1-4 NKJV)
Come and set a “watch to see what the Lord will say to you” … and “write the vision.” As an attitude of soul: roll out a carpet, set a table, and prepare a chair for the Lord your God to visit you. Humble yourself before Him and deeply welcome Him. The Voice of God is more than words, His Words that proceed from His mouth are more than instruction; His Voice is Life, His Voice is Love, and His Voice heals, restores and strengthens. However, do not accept all the thoughts that come to mind, but “lay captive” (2 Cor. 10:5) those that come to “kill, steal, and destroy”, they that run contrary to the Gospel; this ‘voice’ is of the cunning of the Enemy. The Enemy’s voice is laced with bondage, oppression, hopelessness, pride, lust, hatred, offence, and accusation. Realise this very truth: God’s Voice brings “life and life in all its fullness” (John 10:10). It is uplifting, strengthening, and inspiring in the things of God; giving you the greatest of Hope.
Your prayers are “tabled” before the Lord. “By prayer and petition present your requests to the Lord” (Phil. 4:6). Come to see the value of writing your prayers and dialogues before the Lord. Remember how king David always “enquired of the Lord” (Ps. 27:4) and he was known as both a great prophet and a king. Seek, therefore, the gift of prophecy (1 Cor. 14:1) and practice journaling some of your deep-souled requests and petitions; and that of which comes to heart.
Do you realise that the very Book of Psalms is a written collection of David’s own prayers and dialogues in the Father? So be encouraged to articulate some of your own prayers in written form and understand that they are ‘tabled’ before the Lord, and as you do, you will find the Lord responds in kind. The Lord will open the Word of God to you, and even the “words that proceed from His mouth” will be so precious, new, and strengthening that you need to write them down to keep and reflect upon later. You find yourself freely beginning to journal your open dialogues in the Lord, and the Spirit of God will bring an answer to everything that you face as the Love of God comes and rests upon your life.
Make this a new habit of life: go aside into a secret place and quieten your soul and thoughts down, coming to allow the Peace of God to rule your heart. Delight yourself in the Lord in simple praise and worship. Turn on your favourite worship music, sit down with an open Bible, seeking His Presence come completely new and fresh again this day, just like daily Manna (Luke 11:3). The Key is to quieten your soul, wait and be ready for Him to come whenever He likes; living your life as an open invitation to the Lord. As you wait for Him and meditate on His Word, write the dreams and request of your heart, ‘praying’ them unto the Lord. Set yourself aside with the firm understanding that the Lord dearly wishes to meet with you, but will come in His own time and way. You will find then, that the Spirit of God within you begins to ‘groan’ prayers deep in your soul with words that you will find difficult to keep up as you try to write them down. For as you delight yourself in the Lord, He desires to fulfil all the dreams of your heart (Ps. 37:4), and the Spirit Himself comes offering powerful prayers on your behalf.
Let us all learn to hear the Voice of God and be no longer living ‘deaf’ to the Unction of the Holy Ghost (prompting, suggestion, sudden revelation and anointed power). Let us no longer be like a deaf dancer who cannot hear the music, but only does what he sees others doing and saying only what he hears others saying (Matt. 15:14). But choose to remain free in spirit making place for the deepening sensitivity and awareness of the Spirit of God upon your life. So that when you pray it is under the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, according to His leading and Power and not copying formulas, recipes, methods or words. For this is the way that Jesus lived and it is what He taught us to do; in order for us to walk in “Signs and Wonders.” For He only did what He saw and what He heard His Father doing; living under the continual Anointing and leading of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, allow the Spirit of God to continually “open the eyes of your heart” (Eph. 1:18) so that you might come to ‘see’ clearly.
Pray this prayer with me. ‘Lord, please lead me in the ways of the Spirit of God, and open the eyes of my heart that I might be led by the Spirit according to your ways and purposes. Lord, I choose and decide every day, from today on, to allow the Peace of God to rule my heart; that I may truly participate in the Love of God. Please help me Lord, I welcome you and invite you afresh this day. Please feel welcome to come whenever you like, I set a watch for you, a lookout in my soul. I choose to lay my cares into your hands and live this day in the Peace of God, that I might live all my days raised by the Spirit of God. In Jesus Name. Amen’.
The Peace of God RULES! my heart.
