Day #31: Seek Heaven
The prayer of the Father is for you to seek Heaven (Matt. 6:9-13), and to seek the precious Gifts of the Holy Ghost (1 Cor. chpt 12-14:5). Each one of us being a gateway for the Kingdom of God for our world. Realise this: Jesus hasn’t saved us only that one day we might go to Heaven. No, but that Heaven may come upon us and through each one of us, here and now, just as in the life of Jesus (1 John 4:17). Retain, therefore, the deepest of hunger for the Presence of God manifest, as the underlying root drive of your soul … seeking Heaven resting upon your life.
The Prayer of the Father is that you might earnestly seek Heaven: His ‘Kingdom come and His Will be done, just as it is in Heaven.’
As you personally choose to send your roots into the Word and Love of God, your tap-root into the Spirit of the Living God, He begins to increasingly rise up upon you. In seeking Jesus manifest He comes and stands tall in your life. Not a defeated cowering Jesus but He who was triumphant over both Sin and Death. Our Resurrected Jesus abiding within us in His Glory with fire in His eyes and His voice sounding like a raging river (Rev. 1:12-18). Come through a singleness of heart to earnestly seek Heaven; the Presence and the Anointing of the Holy Ghost upon your life. With your love set upon the Lord you become joined in the Love of God. Through this ‘intimacy’, this union with the Father, He is increasingly drawn into your world; in His Glory.
Intimacy leads to knowing and knowing leads to the Anointing of the Holy Ghost. As you gain a greater intimacy and love in the Father (an unadulterated love) He makes Himself known to you, and He causes you to come to know Him. This knowing of the Father, this “closest of relationship”, allows and makes place for an ever increasing Anointing upon your life. For as you draw close to the Father, He Himself is only drawn personally ever closer to you. And as the “Glory fills the Temple, the cloud filled the temple, and the court was full of the radiance of the Glory of the Lord” (Ez. 10:4). So too does the Glory of the Lord fill the Temple within you, and the radiance of the Glory of the Lord emanates from your life into your world.
The heart’s focus is towards intimacy in the Father, for intimacy brings a knowing of Him. As you come to know the Father; then His Presence, His Counsel, and His Might come increasingly upon your life. A tight bond and a trust is developed by Him in you; and doubt, shame, and fear simply fades away. ‘Abiding’ and bonded in Him causes the Father to burst through your life to the blessing of your world. Truly the Kingdom has come!
This has nothing to do with your stature as a person or your standing in the eyes of others. For as Moses was a very humble man and even struggled with stuttering, and even though he as a person had a very low personal self-esteem, yet he spoke face to face with God. Our vision is not to our hands, or what we see about us, nor the opinions of others; for in the Presence of God, He will give you with eyes that clearly see and ears that clearly hear. Through the Manna He gives you to eat each day, your dry branch shall ‘bud’, and from the Mercy Seat in the Tabernacle of the Lord, the Glory of God shall come upon you. And as you come to abide in His Glory, in the Presence of the Lord, even your face will come to glow like a lightbulb (Ex. 34:29).
The disciples, after Jesus ascended into Heaven, waited in the Upper Room. These men and women, behind closed doors, prayed and fasted, and around the Word waited upon the Lord; and at a time when God was ready, the Fire came. If you only had a glimpse of how much the Father desires to rest upon your life, in His Glory, you would be truly astounded. However, there is a right way of going about it. Therefore, be encouraged, for in you beats the Heart of the Father, in you is the Breath of Life (2 Kings 4:34-35), upon you is the Glory of Jesus, and from you flows the River of Life.
‘Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace’.
Allow the refreshing of the Lord to come upon your life. Allow your hope to be renewed. He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The Lord your God is able to turn even these dry bones into living souls. Therefore, allow Him to open your eyes, you are not alone. Allow Him to give you eyes that see the splendour that is before you (Eph. 1:17-23). Jesus comes to all who seek Him, all who seek Him in spirit and in truth. He comes to the lost and the weary-hearted, to set the captives free and to loose the heavy chains. He has come to destroy the works of the Evil One (1 John 3:8), and to pronounce this year as the year the “favour of the Lord has come” (Luke 4:18-19).
Heavenly Father, we join with you in your Heart’s Prayer. Lord, we seek your Presence manifest in our world, we seek Heaven come. Thank you for this most precious gift, even our Hope that goes in behind the Curtain right into the Holy of Holies. Lord, may your Kingdom come, your Will be done on earth, just as it is in Heaven. We thank you, in Jesus most precious Name.
Pray this prayer with me. ‘Lord, I desire to seek your Kingdom come even Heaven on earth and in the world of which I live. Thank you for this most precious gift that I can be a part of your Kingdom. Lord, please help me not be a blockage restricting the Purposes of God. Please guide me close in the Lord so that the Kingdom may flow freely and abundantly in and through me. In Jesus Name. Amen’.
