Day #2: Freedom in Christ

And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the love God cherishes for us. God is love, and he who dwells and continues in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him. In this [union and communion with Him] love is brought to completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him], because as He [Christ] is, so are we in this world. (1 John 4:16-17 AMPC)

I cherish and nurture the tenderness that is possible in the Lord, to draw close to Him; He truly responds and draws close to me (Jam. 4:8). The wonder in life that I, a mere human being, can be drawn so close to Him and can live in continual dialogue with the Lord God is astounding. It is a treasure to behold. The capacity to be able to live in continual dialogue with the one who IS Love and of whose Love and Life rises up from deep within, is entirely beyond words. This same Love strengthens me, moves me and carries me along (2 Pet. 1:21), He clothes me of His very Self.

I delight and long for the living Word of God ‘proceeding’ into my soul from the ‘mouth’ of God (Deut. 8:3, Matt. 4:4). To live in intimacy with the Father, hearing His Voice and receiving from Him throughout my whole day. To grow in tangible awareness of His Presence upon my life (just as Jesus) there is no greater pursuit. Living in continual dialogue and in continual nurtured experience of Jesus, my friend and my King, who died for me. This is His dream being realised in me! (John 17:24)

It doesn’t matter what station of life we are in, there is always more in God. There is always abundantly more than we can ever think or dream in Him (1 Cor. 2:9-10, Eph. 2:20). There is always more to participate in, draw from and be equipped in by the Lord your God. I prefer to be raised in continual communion in the Holy Ghost as I go about my daily life. I prefer to continually draw from the Living Waters of the Spirit of God for the rich nourishment of my soul and for the opening of the vision of my eyes (2 Kings 6:17). I, therefore, set my eyes and my soul as flint upon Him, in Jesus Name (Is. 50:7).

The joining to the Vine (John 15) in the secret places of your heart, drawing the Kingdom’s richness into your life, cannot help but flow like a river from your life. Choosing then to have the eyes of your soul not set on the cares of this world, not set on what your eyes see or your ears hear but set more decidedly in the Love of God. This allows you to draw increasingly from His Love into your world; the manifest realities of the Presence of God of whom so gracefully comes upon you and powerfully outworks from your life.

Zeal for your house consumes me. (Psalm 69:9 NIV)

All things are within, are ‘contained’ in the Love of God, there are no secondary root pursuits. To treasure and delight in this one thing: the Love of God. To see and carry a greater measure of Him, this is His dream concerning us all. I treasure and delight in the Love of God that I might dwell and abide deeper in Him (John 15:4-7). I desire no break of communion with Him, of any measure, but only to have our communion continually enriched and strengthened.

Be aware of the schemes of the Evil One, for he is purposed to use any method to separate you from the Joy (Is. 12:3) and the Voice of the Lord your God. His intent is always the same; trying to come between you and the outpouring Glory of the Father and keep you from freely drawing from His Rich Reserves. As in the ‘tap-root’ of a tree, make a decisive step to set your confidence in the Lord. Lay your life in the Hands of the Father and watch His Hand work in ways that are truly wonderful (John 16:24).

The Love of God and the Presence of God are one and the same. There are no secondary root pursuits, for all is ‘contained’ in the Love of God. Within the Love of God we are guided and provided all things: for this life on earth, for the ministry of His Kingdom, for the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, and the Resurrection Power of God. I personally dream to actively participate in the Gifts and the Resurrection Power of God, but these are not secondary pursuits. These things of the Will, of Revelation, of Ministry, of the Fruits and Gifts of God are not separate pursuits. All is contained, all is found and drawn from within the Love of God. Our love set in the Love of God simply draws Him for He is Love (1 John 4:16).

Pray this prayer with me. ‘Lord, I long to hear your Voice, I long for the Words that proceed from the mouth of God. Lord, please help me live in the freedom of heart and soul that you shed your Blood to achieve for me. Lord, the freedom in the Holy Ghost is wonderful, please help me remain and abide here all the moments and days of my life. I seek your Face and wait upon the Lord. Thank you Lord for achieving this in me. In Jesus Name. Amen’.
